The Maverick Dark Series - 9th February 2020
Three Harriers took on the 15km night trail race
From the organisers:
If you enjoy trail running in the daylight then you are in for a real treat running in the dark! It's an amazing experience; your senses are heightened, you immerse yourself deep in the surroundings, with your head torch on the trails streak past you at warp speed, you concentrate on making that perfect foot placement so as not to take a tumble.
Oxfordshire Dark - why not! Starting and finishing in the Culden Faw Estate which is split by the River Thames and nestled in the Chiltern Hills, this location can only be described as quintessential middle England. We love the Oxfordshire Original Series event, so it was only fitting that we experience this area in the dark. The 3 routes are all set in the estate which is home to fallow deer and wallabies......yep, we have actually seen a wallaby there! All the routes are relatively challenging and with 3 to choose from there is something for everyone.
