Silverstone 10k - 9th May 2022
Described by the organisers (Silson AC): The Silverstone Grand Prix 10K race is held each year on the Silverstone Race Circuit. This has more participants that any other 10k road race in the Midlands, with regularly more than 1,000 entrants. 2019 saw the 36th year of the Silverstone Grand Prix 10K race. Since 1984 the race has been the first race of the East Midlands Grand Prix (EMGP) series of 8 midweek races. The route is the former grand prix circuit (now known as the Bridge Circuit) starting on the main grid and finishing in the Pit Lane. The event is also open to wheelchair & handcycle competitors.
From Graeme: I'm suprised more Harriers don't sign up for this local race on the iconic race track, maybe a Monday night isn't everyone's ideal night for a race? I loved it!! I always love running on the race track and do it every opportunity I get, and I was delighted to go sub hour for 10k again!

Oxford Town and Gown 10k - 8th May 2022
Described by the organisers: Oxford Town and Gown was started in 1982 by local runners as a fun run to raise funds for muscular dystrophy and still to this day all profits from the race go to Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK). 2022 will see us celebrate the Town and Gown 40th anniversary! Our unique route is the only closed-road City Centre 10k in Oxford with a glorious stretch along the River Cherwell and finish in the University Parks. In 2019, the run was awarded Best 10k in South East England by the Running Awards.
Well done to the six Harriers who took on this local race!
