The Redditch 10k - 30th October 2022

 

From the organisers: "We are thrilled to announce a brand new Racways event for 2022, the Redditch Kingfisher 10K. Starting and finishing in Redditch town centre, the 10K race takes in elements of the Kingfisher Trail around Redditch. Building on the success of other local Raceways events, it’s a race not to be missed!"

Snowdon Marathon - 29th October 2022

 

From the organisers: "The Snowdonia Marathon Eryri has been voted Best British Marathon twice. The demanding and spectacular route, encircling Snowdon, Wales’ and England’s highest peak, gives the event a unique place in the annual marathon calendar."

Abingdon Marathon - 23rd October 2022

 

From the organisers: "The Abingdon Marathon was first held in 1982 and 2022 will mark the race’s 40th anniversary. This will be the 38th running of the race – unfortunately the 2007, 2020 and 2021 events had to be abandoned. The 2022 Abingdon Marathon will again incorporate the following championship events: Oxfordshire County Marathon Championships and Army AA Marathon Championships.

The Abingdon Marathon course passes through the centre of Abingdon and the villages of Drayton, Milton and Sutton Courtenay as well as passing through the Milton Park business estate along the way.

In addition to putting on a first class event for the competitors, the organisers aim to support a number of local charities and the main beneficiaries over recent years have included Helen & Douglas House, Maggie’s Centres, SeeSaw, The Abingdon Bridge and The Archway Foundation."

Ilmington 10k - 23rd October 2022

 

From the organisers: "The Winter Series consists of 5, 10 kilometre races, one a month beginning in October and ending in February. You can enter all five races or you can just run one. If you do enter and complete all five races you’ll pick up your very own Winter Series Hoody. The route is located near the village of Ilmington on the edge of the Cotswold’s and heads up the highest point in Warwickshire."

From the organisers: "Oxford Half is a beautiful route of 13.1 miles throughout the University Parks and historical Oxford City Centre."

The Great South Run - 15th October 2022

 

From the organisers: "This iconic event takes you on a historic route, on a course steeped in history. Runners will fly past naval landmarks such as the incredible HMS Victory in Portsmouth's Dockyard. You will also see cathedrals and castles on your way to the amazing seafront finish line."

50k Race to the Sea, Bornemouth - 15th October 2022

 

From the organisers: "From Moors Valley Country Park to Hengistbury Head, Bournemouth, following the Castleman Trailway for part of the way and along the stunning seafront into Bournemouth. A truly fantastic route, this 50km point-to-point course takes you through a variety of terrain, including wonderful forest trails and coastal paths. With a flat, beautifully scenic course you can use this as a perfect intro to ultra-running, an opportunity to challenge yourself to a fast 50km run time, or simply just enjoy an amazing run to the sea!"

 

From Graeme: "Any Harriers considering stepping up from Marathon to Ultra-marathon - this is an ideal race! Awesome course, lovely volunteers, I had a tough day (due to lack of training) but I loved having spent time with friends on this beautiful course!"

Alcester 10k - 9th October 2022

 

From the organisers: "Raceways most established race, having launched in 2014, the Alcester 10k starts and finishes in the beautiful town of Alcester and takes in the surrounding countryside along this rolling route. A real community event with spectators cheering runners along the way, this is a race with an atmosphere that is hard to beat!"

The London Marathon - 2nd October 2022

 

London Marathon is one of the most iconic races in the world, part of the Abbott 6 marathon majors, the London Marathon ballot is always oversubscribed. HNH receive one place in London each year, those who are rejected in the main ballot are able to enter our ballot (with much greater odds than the main ballot).

The Virtual London Marathon - 2nd October 2022

 

London Marathon is one of the most iconic races in the world, part of the Abbott 6 marathon majors, the London Marathon ballot is always oversubscribed, but since Covid lockdown - they have offered a virtual race on the same day as the race on the streets of London. For those who want to feel part of the London Marathon's history - this is a great option!
