AGM Reports December 2nd 2025.

Chair’s Report 2025
Another fantastic year as the Chair of the Harriers. It has been a pleasure to be part of this
thriving running club.

The support from the committee and the members is great. Special thanks to Bethan who
took on the role of Secretary when we really needed someone a year ago. All of the
committee officers do their bit. It makes it so easy for me.

The Race Team , led by Bethan and Steve Frame held 2 very successful races in the Canter
and the Hooky 6. The addition of a qualified and experienced First Aid company was a
welcome introduction at the Hooky 6. This will continue at future events. The Race Team
does a great job and have recently been joined by some new members who will lighten the
load for the others. I look forward to the Christmas Canter soon. Both races have been
financially successful enabling us to keep subscriptions at a very reasonable rate. Members
support by volunteering at these event is essential to their success.

Simon, our Treasurer, continues his role brilliantly and we had a very good year in the last 12
months, enabling a recent contribution to the Hook Norton Primary School.

The 2024/2025 year has seen continued good numbers of the Harriers running in the
Oxfordshire Cross Country and Motavation series. This year’s first Cross Country run in
November was well attended, we performed well and welcome to some new runners.

Hook Norton Harriers on Tour was introduced last year. It was very popular so we continued
this year at different venues on certain summer Tuesday evenings.. These were very
successful and thanks to those members who organised them. This will continue next year.

Our members continue to get involved in many running events. From Parkruns round the
world to Marathons and more; locally, nationally and internationally.

Our Awards evening in March 2025 was really enjoyable. Thanks to Sarah and Steve for
organising that at a new venue, the Thai Shire. Thanks to Dave Bunney for the organisation
of all the awards and trophies, his first year.
I have enjoyed this year and look forward to the continued success of our club.

Captain's Report.

Oxon XC League 2024/25 Season
The standout Harrier this season was undoubtedly Victoria, who finished in the top ten in all 4 of
the races that she took part in. Amazingly she finished 3rd lady in the overall series, and also
qualified for the County team which she represented at the inter counties race. The rest of the
Harriers ladies also performed exceptionally well, finishing mid table in Division 2. The men's
team were missing some regulars through injury, and struggled to field a full team for most races
so finished well down in Division 3. However the commitment of those taking part was excellent,
with Huw being their most reliable performer. In total 24 Harriers took part this season.

The ladies also achieved a fabulous result at the Berks, Bucks and Oxon cross country
championships. Their team of Victoria, Susie and Anwen finished as second Veterans ladies
team.

Motavation 2025 Season
21 Harriers took part this summer, with Ian picking up a series price as 3rd V60. Steve was our
highest ranked runner for the men, finishing in 60th place overall. Anwen was the top ranked
runner for the ladies, finishing in 50th place overall (and 8th V40).
