Thursday Training in Shipston-On-Stour
Darren & Royston are currently running training sessions every Thursday evening at 7pm, meeting at the Leisure Centre in Shipston-On-Stour. This is, in true Harriers style, open to all members, catering for all abilities, with a different plan each week to offer varied training. This is the perfect weekly session to see you through winter and put you in tip top shape for the new year.
Strength & Conditioning with Bryan
Member Bryan Walford will be providing strength and conditioning and circuit classes for runners at HNSSC on the second Tuesday evening of every month. Please bring a bottle of water, a training or yoga mat and (if you have one) a resistance band to each session. NB February's session has been moved back a week to the 19th.
Oxon XC Season
The Oxfordshire Cross Country league is a fantastic series of races for all members, at various locations on the first Sunday of each month from November to March. Ladies race over 6.5km, and men over 8km (still not quite sure why these differ!). The mens races start at 11:20am, and the ladies at 12:00pm. These events are fantastic fun, and someone usually bakes cakes!! This year's meets are:
The Christmas Canter
The 2018 edition of the Christmas Canter race will be held on Sunday December 16th. Please keep the date free if you can. As with the Hooky 6 we would like all members that are available to help out with marshaling and roles on the day. This is becoming an ever more popular race and again it can't happen without members support.
Come along to the Hook Norton Sports & Social Club at 7pm on a Tuesday to meet us and join us for a run! If you'd like to become a member, simply send us an email:
