Awards

The club present a number of awards to members each year.

The awards presented are:

Female Runner of the Year

The female who has the most first placed finishes of the Harriers at each club championship qualifying race, if same number then number of seconds, thirds etc. The list of the championship races are in the Club Championship section.

Male Runner of the Year

The male who has the most first placed finished of the Harriers at each club championship qualify race, if same number then number of seconds, thirds etc. The list of the championship races are in the Club Championship section.

Club Handicap

To be eligible: A runner has to compete in six races from either the club list or any qualifying marathon or half marathon.  The marathon or half marathon must be certified by the recognised body in the country of that race.  For the six races, at least two must be less than 10 miles and at least two at 10 miles or over, plus any two others (incl. Motavation).

The six races are assessed against the runner's standard considering gender and age to give a common rating across all runners.

There are also 10 bonus points for every extra club race run.  The runner with the greatest points is the winner.  So to be in with a chance to win this, you have to run at least six qualifying races as fast as you can and run as many races also.

Female Cross Country Champion

Finishing positions for every race in the Oxon XC league are added up, the lowest number is the champion. For any races missed - the final position +1 is applied.

Male Cross Country Champion
